This book is particularly aimed at pre-school children and children with special needs to support language development and communication. By using this book to prepare your child for going swimming, they will be happier and able to manage the experience. It can be used not only before the first swimming outing, but also before each swimming activity to remind the child what will happen. You can use the pictures in the book to encourage your child to pack their swimming bag. Use the book as a tool to talk about the noise, the smell, the water (sometimes the footbath water is very cold!) and who you might meet at the swimming pool.
